Long Island Golf Expo Sold!
(Syracuse, NY) The Long Island Golf Expo has been sold to CNY Golf,
LLC of Syracuse, NY. CNY Golf, LLC is a group of investors headed by Tom
Tarry, the owner of the Syracuse Golf Expo. The sale was completed on July
25. Terms of the transaction were not released.
According to Mr. Tarry the Long Island Golf Expo was an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often. “When I received the call from David I was very surprised. We talked a lot about the fact that Long Islanders love golf and what this opportunity means. David called us because he knows our capabilities and knows what we will deliver to the golf fans of Long Island.”
The Long Island Golf Expo takes place March 13-15, 2009 at Suffolk County Community College. One of the new features of the show will be an appearance by current Re/Max World Long Drive Champion and current World Record holder for the Longest Drive, Mike Dobbyns.

The Long Island Golf Expo
Once again the Long Island Golf Expo will take place March 13-15, 2009 at Suffolk County Community College. This years golf expo will feature two huge driving ranges. Attendees will be allowed to hit golf balls all weekend long on these ranges for free. We will offer three golf simulators that allow attendees to either play a par 3 hole or get their swing analyzed. This is also free. We will have at least one putting challenge. We may have more than one.
It is our hope to give each attendee a free round of golf at a local course. Nobody golfs alone. This is a tremendous opportunity for local clubs. If you have an interest in this promotion please call us. In this tough environment someone is going to get the opportunity to get a lot of new customers.
One of our strengths as a company is our Marketing and Advertising background. Our owner is a former Radio and Television advertising sales person and sales manager. He knows the in and outs of the media. Everyone will notice a lot of marketing with great commercials.
We plan to have theme days on Friday and Sunday. Friday will be Senior Citizens Day. Sunday will be couple s day. Each group will receive gifts and discount opportunities for attending. Stay tuned for more on this.
Some of you may have noticed that we have lowered the booth rates. We believe that our price is in line with the crowds we expect. On that note our goal is to attract 10,000 attendees in 2009, 15,000 attendees in 2010 and 20,000 attendees in 2011. With so many golfers living on Long Island we believe that these numbers aren’t out of the realm of possibility. The investors in this show need those types of numbers to earn a return on their investment. As you can see your interests are in line with ours. Like you, we need high attendance numbers to make a profit. We will spend what is necessary to get those attendees.

Each month exhibitors that have signed up and paid a deposit to exhibit in the Long Island Golf Expo will receive a monthly newsletter. Look for this newsletter to begin arriving at the end of November, December, January and February.
